Chong Hee brings experience across venture capital and technology development with the Asian perspectives. He is well networked into the semiconductor and related areas internationally and has been instrumental in spearheading national projects in these areas.

While at Chartered, Chong Hee established and headed the Strategic Relations and Investment program, investing into companies working on next wave semiconductor and related technologies. He successfully brought together a network of brand named VCs, created a portfolio of leading technology ventures, and worked closely with all for win-win partnerships. Before Chartered, Chong Hee was a Vice President with Pacific Venture Partners, where he was associated with ventures such as Spreadtrum, CSMC, and Virtual Silicon, asset acquisition and integration, and core technical team building. Prior to that, he held senior management positions at the Institute of Microelectronics, Singapore and headed its Business Development, IP and Quality Department. There, he was key in engaging the industry on R&D, delivering national semiconductor related programs, enabling comprehensive platforms for MEMS and CMOS RFIC, and achieving a new level of industry contribution. At the University of New South Wales, he was responsible for the Australia-ASEAN Economic Program on Microelectronics, the Australasia Multi-Project Chip Program and VLSI Design Platforms, and the Symbolic VLSI Design Toolset.

He received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering, M.Sc. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, all from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
