Reza brings over a decade of experience in technology and product
development to Tallwood, where he focuses on opportunities in
mixed-signal and RF System-on-Chip, power and energy efficiency, as well
as novel materials.
Most recently, Reza served as the Vice President of Products at Sequoia
Communications, where he was responsible for delivering two RF SoC's for
3G handsets. At Sequoia his responsibilities spanned product
specification, system engineering, design, test, product engineering and
phone integration. Prior to Sequoia Reza spent three years as an EIR at
Tallwood. Reza has carried out pioneering research in areas of deep
sub-micron technology scaling, as well as on-chip DNA sequencing and
bio-MEMS. His work on CMOS scaling was incorporated into the ITRS
roadmap and adopted by member companies of the Semiconductor Research
Corporation. His on-chip DNA sequencing research laid the foundation for
Avantome, Inc., where he served on the advisory board until its
acquisition by Illumina (NASD:ILMN) in 2008.
Reza holds a PhD and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford
University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University.
